And, IMO they didn't add to the appeal of the characters, satire, or plot. So, either they intentionally inserted them or a few people noticed but chose to keep quiet. The movie did have a great pro-vegan message in the final quarter. - Some of the continuity errors: After Rose awakes in hospital meeting her doctor, she requests to see her wounds. She reels in horror and Doctor calmly says "I would strongly suggest staying away from mirrors right now". Much later, Brad and Rose go on lunch date which is awkward, then are suddenly attacked by rabid zombie who is hammered bloody by Brad. A few scenes later, Brad sees Rose and asks what was troubling her at their lunch lunch not about the zombie that came at her through the diner window. Even later, Rose goes into an alley for a break and collapses. Two curious males come up her and she takes one of them out with her "appendage" which is seen by Brad. Rose is taken back indoors where she resuscitates. Brad asks her what she is doing up, not mentioning the 5ft snake writhing from her armpit. Oh, yeah, the setting takes place in the world of high fashion & couture (because, Suspiria & Black Swan was artsy yo. I swear I thought the secondary male actor was Steven Tyler doing a horrible German impression. Sadly it wasn't. sadly. It was like they were trying to add the plot of Ms.45 in for some reason. Not well... don't worry.
Then the movie rips off rips off EVERYTHING from the bandaged nurses from Silent Hill in a rabies induced fever sequence.
The victims infected by rabies all act like extras from World War Z (on bath salts) and can transform via Dusk Till Dawn style. cause cool... Someone DEFINITELY went to the red Rob Zombie school of lighting for good measure at the end of this crap show. br> The mood at time is a dead rip off of the Neon Demon, that features a Dead Space necromorph looking prop. I would say this movie definitely took everything it could via Guillermo del Toro's The is way more in connection w the Strain than that would be coming considered anything Cronenbergian. br> Oh yeh, you gotta add with a nonsensical dramatic love is a TONE DEAF MESS too...
RABID 2019 was a buffet of everything wrong with new school it ends with Ave Maria. br> Hard Pass. br> Kicking it while it's down.
The sound design & overall audio quality was sh. I could not hear anything when more than two inputs were being cued Frost demos were mastered better than some of this movie. br> Some of the dialogue was clear but, the music was talentless & the mastering overall was abysmal. br> Regarding the Soska Sisters. Kinda hack stuff at this moment. I will admit American Mary was unique when it debuted. Whoever in Vancouver gave the rights to this classic film to be destroyed... you accomplished your goal!

Eh, you might can. Brad 2019 18:23. So glad I got to see this at a film festival. I'm a huge fan of the Soska sisters work and I knew this film was going to be a hit with me. I can personally say I wasn't much if a fan of the original 70s version. This remake though, was completely sick and twisted, I loved it! Some of the grisly scenes were pretty realistic as well. Definitely one I'll buy when it comes out on DVD and blu ray. Congrats to all involved.

This looks like potentially a very good movie, but unfortunately this is probably the worst trailer i have even seen, the music, the sound effects, and the editing looks like a podcast. Curiously a lot of seeming cynicism that smooths over the sharp and twisted edges and implies that it's all fine. Interesting. Low hanging 6 o'clock to twelve in one second. CM Punk Hell Yeah. As big of a name that David Cronenberg is in the horror scene, then I can't really claim to be a fan of everything that he touches. I have never heard about "Rabid" before I happened to stumble upon in this late in 2017. I read the synopsis and it sounded like something that could potentially be alright, as it did have that zombiesque vibe to it. I managed to endure 30 minutes of "Rabid" before I gave up out of sheer and utter boredom. I actually found myself with my mobile phone in my hand and was playing a game while watching this movie. Yeah, it was that boring to me. From what I managed to see during the 30 minutes that I sat through, then there was nothing appealing or interesting here that fell into my taste and preference. So I can in all honesty say that I am not going to return to watch "Rabid" later on in order to finish it. As for the cast and their acting talents, well, I can't really complain about anything here. The acting seemed adequate considering that the movie was from 1977 and given the limitations of the script and storyline imposed on them. "Rabid" didn't really make much use of special effects in the 30 minutes that I managed to endure. So whether or not the movie actually did well on the effects department, that I cannot make a proper statement about. This was a rather bland and uneventful 30 minutes that I will never get back. And from what I saw, then my rating of "Rabid" is a meager 3 out of 10 stars, and I do feel somewhat large and generous here actually. The movie cover boasted "Pray it doesn't happen to you", which actually happened to summarize the feeling of having to sit down to watch the movie quite well.
